James S. Beecher is the Student Advocate for the White Pine Middle School as well as General Counsel for the White Pine County School District.  Mr. Beecher also volunteers as the Judge Advocate for the American Legion, Department of Nevada.  Mr. Beecher is looking forward to making a positive impact on the middle school students, facilitating their learning and personal development as a leader.

Previously, Mr. Beecher served as District Attorney for White Pine County.  Prior to his appointment as the White Pine County District Attorney, Mr. Beecher served as the Chief Deputy District Attorney for White Pine County, as well as legal counsel for White Pine County School District, White Pine County Tourism and Recreation Board, and Rural Nevada Development Corporation. 

Mr. Beecher received his Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, where he graduated Magna Cum Laude, and his law degree from William S. Boyd School of Law – University of Nevada, Las Vegas, after which he was admitted to practice law by the State of Nevada.

 Mr. Beecher spends his free time with his family, playing guitar, and cooking.
