Culture Statement

Mission

Our mission is to promote, support, and ensure high levels of learning.

Vision

By the end of a 3-year period all students will exceed growth in academics and social emotional learning.

Goals

1. Increase core academic achievement and growth.

  • In grades 6-8, increase the percentage of students scoring proficient or better on the SBAC ELA from 30.5% to 44% by 2023.

  • In grades 6-8, increase the percentage of students scoring proficient or better on the SBAC Math from 21.2% to 34% by 2023.

  • In grades 6-8, the Median Growth Percentile for ELA will increase to 60 by 2023.

  • In grades 6-8 the Median Growth Percentile for Math will increase to 55 by 2023.

  • In grades 6-8 the percentage of students achieving their ELA Adequate Growth Percentile will increase from 33.1%to 50% by 2023. 

  • In grades 6-8, the percentage of students achieving their Math Adequate Growth Percentile will increase from 22.6% to 31% by 2023. 

  • In grades 6-8, when considering non-proficient students, 30% will achieve their ELA Adequate Growth Percentile by 2023. 

  • In grades 6-8, when considering non-proficient students, 20% will achieve their Math Adequate Growth Percentile by 2023. 

2. Increase student participation in College and Career Ready opportunities.

  • Increase the percentage of students completing Algebra 1 by the end of the 8th grade year to 33% by 2023.

  • Increase the percentage of students engaging in vocal or instrumental music to 40% by 2023.

  • Increase the percentage of students engaging in extracurricular Robotics to 10% by 2023.

  • Increase the percentage of students participating in Advanced Math competitions to 20% by 2023.

  • Increase the percentage of 8th graders participating in high school CTE courses to 50% by 2023.

3.          Continuously improve the school culture by improving adult and student behaviors.

  • By the conclusion 2023, increase attendance rate from 94% to 97%.     

  • By the conclusion of 2023, decrease the percentage of students identified as chronically absent from 22% to 8%.

  • By the conclusion of 2023, decrease the suspension rate at each school.

By the conclusion of 2023, increase students’ perceptions of their social and emotional learning as measured by the Nevada SEL survey.
