Student of the day for today is Luke Armstrong. Luke is a great friend to all 6th graders; he is upbeat, positive, and a joy to be around. He has excelled in our physical science unit and his enthusiasm for learning is contagious. Luke has been working really hard to be a good student and it shows in his academic accomplishments. Student of the day for today is Brindel Blades. Brindel takes pride in her work and her school. I constantly see her picking up trash in the halls of the school and helping teachers with Chromebooks. She is kind and respectful to both students and adults. Brindel always does her best in class, asks great questions, and supports her peers in class. Keep up the great work, Brindel! Student of the day for yesterday was LaGloria Henry. LaGloria has been a very active learner in math class. She has been willing to help out with whole class conversations and has completed her assignments daily. She works hard every day and does it with joy and passion. LaGloria has a very bright future, and it has been fun watching her gain confidence in the classroom. Keep up the great work! LaGloria was chosen by Mr. Trask.

The student of the day is Isabell Callender. Isabell is a wonderful young lady, she helps others when they need it, contributes to classroom dialogue, and is an active learner. MOSKOFF AND GODINA-SALAS MARCH JUNIOR STUDENTS Olivia Carel Moskoff and Kathy Godina Salas have been named Junior Students of the Month for March, according to Ely Elks Lodge #1469. Moskoff, age 14, is the daughter of Steffen and Kathy Moskoff of McGill. Godina Salas,age 14, is the daughter of Benjamin and Fabiola Godina Salas of Ely. Both are 8th graders at White Pine Middle School. The Junior Student of the Month program is sponsored by the Elks Lodge in an effort to bring recognition to outstanding students in the area. Multiple achievement, citizenship, scholarship and leadership are the basis for the selection of Junior Student of the Month. Moskoff has been active in volleyball, softball, WPMS Band and Mrs. Viv's School of dance. Her hobbies are playing piano and hunting. Godina Salas has been active in leadership and Muay Thai. Her hobbies are reading, painting, hiking and hanging out with friends.

Student of the day is Jesta Jackson. I don't get to see Jesta in the academic setting very much but I have watched her on the wrestling mat and she is fierce. Jesta had a great weekend of wrestling where she qualified to compete in the state tournament. Congratultions and good luck at state. Jesta was chosen by Mrs. Gubler.
